This series has been our greatest series to date! Don’t miss out this weekend! Be there Sunday at 9:30 or 11:00, as we continue the Old Time Religion series.
It’s going to be a great week!!
One of the ways we help connect new people to Freedom is by hosting a Newcomers’ Lunch every 6 weeks. This is an opportunity for them to learn more about Freedom and ask any question that they might have about the church. This has proven to be effective for us in helping people to determine if Freedom is or is not the place for them.
We also strongly encourage them to sign up for one of our Partnership teams. This allows them to be connected to much more than just the Sunday morning worship experience.
This past Sunday, we had 65 people attend the luncheon and most of them agreed to partner in some fashion with the church. I would encourage every church to do something similar to get people connected quicker.

This past Sunday, we kicked off a series called Old Time Religion. During this series, we’ll talk about certain things that we feel that the church of the past might have done better than we do them today. This past week was about Honor. You can listen to the podcast here.
You don’t want to miss week 2. We need 100 of you that attend 11:00 to move to the 9:30 worship experience to free up seats for guests.
Now if I could just fast forward the week to Sunday:)

If you missed yesterday, start immediately punching yourself in the face. Repeat over and over. You deserve it!
The energy around Freedom Church is electric right now. There is an incredible buzz in the air. Something big is coming. In fact, several big things are coming…perhaps! (You had to be there.)
I can’t believe I get to be a part of this. Don’t tell anyone but I would gladly do it for free!
I am loving what God is doing at Freedom Church. It is simply mind blowing to me!
One of the most rewarding parts is taking the journey with people that you care about. Here’s what I love about it…
I’m loving having a Pastor who is seeking God and His direction for our church. I’m loving that he is leading us to transform a city. I’m loving that he is authentic and not afraid to speak truth.
I’m loving the staff team that God has assembled here. It is amazing to me how many high capacity leaders that he has placed on our team. I’m loving that they have a deep desire to honor and serve this community.
I’m loving the partners that God has brought to Freedom. It is so refreshing to hear them talk about what God is doing in their life, as a result of the ministry of Freedom Church.
I’m loving that we have so many people that are jacked up about helping people far from God to experience life in Christ!
I’m loving the momentum that our church has right now. The future seems extremely bright!
Last week at staff retreat, our Pastor led us to set some pretty audacious goals. The kind of goals where you know that God HAS to intervene.
Why would our team set such big goals? Glad you asked:) The bottom line is this…people are dying and going to hell all around us. We feel that God has called us to do something about that. We believe that God wants to use us to transform an entire city. Below is something that I read recently that greatly challenged me:
Romans 13:11 The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
The driving force behind everything we do at Freedom is so that people far from God can experience life in Christ. Plain and simple. If you are a Christian, it is time for you to rise up and partner with us!
Our staff just got back from 3 intense days in Memphis. We chose this location because this is where the dream began. Here’s a few random thoughts about the trip:
1. Being able to look forward by looking back was important for our team. A very good reminder of how far we’ve come.
2. We spent time talking about goals, budgeting, upcoming series, personal vision, and accountability. We also spent a great deal of time praying together.
3. I had a blast hanging out with our team. There was much laughter.
4. We set God-sized goals. They are the kind of goals that if God doesn’t come through, there is no way we can accomplish them. Isn’t that the way you should set goals?
5. Everyone on our team desires to be a part of something revolutionary in our city!
Freedom Church…get ready! The next few months are going to blow your mind!!
ENGAGE is a one day student conference designed to encourage, challenge, and motivate students to spread the good news of Christ. Our sole purpose of existence is so that students who are far from God can experience life in Christ.
This year at Engage we will be talking through the “Power of Prayer” and the impacts it can have on our lives. If we just took a few minutes to pray each day. Boldly. Unashamed. Humbly. Powerfully. What could happen if we just asked God to intervene in our lives and our situations.
ENGAGE will be held on August 15th: 10:00am – 7:00pm @ Barber Middle School in Acworth, GA. Directions can be found here.
ENGAGE is geared towards students in grades 6-12.
Please register you and/or your student ministry here to get your tickets and confirm your attendance.
Ticket price is FREE! ($5 lunch charge at check-in on day of Conference per student).
