Goals

Recently I have stepped up my game in the amount that I was running.  I started running a couple of years ago and would run 2 miles 3-4 times per week.  After being challenged by this guy and this guy, things have gone to a whole new level.  In fact, I’ll be running 12 miles on Saturday.  (Yes, I said 12)

However, I remember the day when I couldn’t run 1 mile.  At Thanksgiving, I struggled to finish 3 miles.  But now I am running that almost on a daily basis.

What’s the difference?  The difference is in the goal.  If your goal is 3 miles, you’ll only push yourself to get there.  If the goal is 12 miles, you’ll push yourself to get there.

What areas of your life do you need to set bigger goals?  How can you push yourself a little harder to get the desired results?

Set a goal.  A big goal and work hard to get there!

i’ll tell you something crazy about running…a friend of mine runs 50 miles each week! I don’t think i’ll be setting that as my goal any time soon.
