Roll with the Punches

I posted yesterday about what happened to our truck.  Ian wrote about having to move their band practice.  Needless to say, church planting is never dull.

Here’s what I am learning about church planting, you have to be very flexible.  You have to be able to think about Plan B immediately.  You have to stop yourself from dwelling on the current situation and begin to figure out the solution to whatever the issue might be.

I could have spent all night and day frustrated about what happend to our truck.  Our band could have said, ‘Forget it, we just won’t practice.”  Instead, I have been on the phone all day trying to work out a plan for Sunday.  Our band moved their practice to our offices.

You’ve got to realize that you have to ‘roll with the punches’ (whatever that means).  It seems to me that God is teaching me that every problem creates an opportunity!
