Joni’s parents treated us to to some free tickets to the Braves/Mariners game last night. Here are a few things that I observed:
1. Everyone who worked there was extremely friendly. They didn’t seemed to be freaked out by the fact that there were 40,000 people had questions or were confused.
2. It was easy to get in and out of the stadium. They have a well thought out parking strategy.
3. It is insane that it is illegal for them to charge $5 for a bottle of water and $12 to park your car. I seriously felt like I had been robbed.
4. They have worked really hard to add elements to the game that would apply to everyone, even if you aren’t a baseball fan.
I can’t help the fact that I constantly think about church planting everywhere I go. I kept thinking, ‘we need to make sure our people are this friendly and helpful’ and ‘we need to make sure it is this easy to park and get out at Freedom Church’.
Thank you Braves for helping me to think through some processes. (Also, thank you for losing. It made me a happy man!)

Cheering against the home team of the city you live in is just downright evil. You should be ashamed.
